Can I ask this silly question please? I intend to sign up to the HTC hero 24-month plan from t-mobile; does anybody know that when HTC hero gets an upgrade, I will get it as well via t-mobile? I'm not too familiar with all the networks and how they work. In fact, I don't understand why t-mobile name it as t-mobile G2 Touch. What is HTC Sprint? is it the same as HTC hero? I wanted to get HTC hero because of the Android applications, and I was hoping the phone will get upgraded to 2.0. all advice appreciated, many thanks.

I have found sites about rooting the HTC Hero but not the G2. They are in essence the same phone but when I tried the methods (e.g theunlockr.com) shown they do not work. If someone has this phone or knows how to root the G2 PLEASE let me know! Thank you
