I have a contract mobile phone, 2 months, how can I change it?
I get several friends telling me that they have just phoned, but I didn’t answer.Yet the phone is with me and didn’t ring. It happens in 1 out of 20 calls, on a regular basis. Sometimes the screen flashes which is unrelated to the calls mentioned. It seems to be a different problem. As it is a blackberry new phone, I cannot afford to loose calls, and want to change it. Can I insist. Finally, sometimes it forgets its memory, and my email alerts will change from a light flashing to a siren noise.

as its 2 months old you’re not going to get it changed unless its not repairable. take it back to where you bought it and ask them to repair it. most reputable dealers will offer you a loan phone after 3 days but it will be the cheapest one they’ve got and they may ask you for a refundable deposit.
I don’t think you’ll be get out of your contract, but the Blackberry should still be under warranty so take it back and they should either repair or replace.
My old phone used to do this and I wondered whether you could use the Sale of Goods Act to claim that the phone was unsuitable for use… Citizens Advice or whatever they’re called now should be able to answer to your question!
Back to where you got it from, my friend. It looks like it’s defective, and so should be replaced under warranty.
