Should cellphones be banned while driving a car?

I have almost been hit several times by people on their cellphones while driving and people cut me off and don’t even look while on their cellphones. What do you think?

  1. In Britain, they already are. The trouble is policing it.

  2. ban unless using hand’s free. And don’t forget banning people texting while driving too.

  3. In CT its a state law. You legally cannot drive while holding the phone itself. Handsfree headsets however, are considered legal.

    The worst is when people text when they drive. That’s just ridiculous.

  4. yes, definitely for the girls who also put on makeup while text message at the sametime.

  5. in our place, using cellphones while driving is legally probihited and once caught, you will be obliged to pay the penalty charge. if accident occurs while driving because of using the cellphone, possibility of getting into jail…
